Excellent grouping of original WWI photos from a US soldier. Many images from combat positions in Alsace, 1918. Great photo of a Springfield 1903 SNIPER RIFLE in use in a trench in the field with Swasey Sniper scope – named on reverse to a Coproral GONDACK, 127th Infantry Regiment. Caption indicates he was later killed at Chateau-Thierry in June, 1918 . Mortars, MG positions, No-Man’s land images, grenades being thrown, trenches, field graves, vehicles, identified locations in france and more. Great content.
