Named SS Polizei document grouping tp Oberwachtmeister Martin ZILLMANN who served in SS Polizei Regiment 22. Comes with his Iron Cross Second Class award document issued in KRAKAU on Nov. 4, 1943 with rare original signature of SS Obergruppenführer WILHELM KRÜGER, commander Der Höhere SS-u. Pol. Führer Ost – the highest police and security post in occupied Poland. Also comes with his BLACK WOUND BADGE document awarded Sept. 17, 1943 in RADOM, POLAND, and KVK2 award document with signature KEITEL awarded Jan. 30, 1943.

Between 1939 and 1943 KRÜGER was the Higher SS and Police Leader[2] in the General Government, giving him command of all police and security forces in German-occupied Poland. In this capacity, he organized and supervised numerous crimes against humanity and had major responsibility for the German genocide of the Polish nation: the extermination of six million Poles (three million of them Polish Jews) and massive destruction, degradation and impoverishment of the Polish state. He took his own life in May 1945.
The 22nd SS Police Regiment helped to crush the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in April–May. Together with the 25th SS Police Regiment and other security forces, the regiment participated in Operation Harvest Festival (Aktion Erntefest) on 3–4 November, the massacre of 42,000 Jews imprisoned in the Majdanek extermination camp and several of its sub-camps.[3] In July 1944, the regiment was transferred to Belarus and was destroyed there.[4]
