Helmut Naumann (August 12, 1912 – June 21, 1997) was a German Luftwaffe dive-bomber pilot during the Second World War.
Military Role:
- Flew the Junkers Ju 87 (Stuka).
- Served as a Staffelkapitän (squadron leader) in Stukageschwader 3.
- Completed approximately 150–200 combat sorties.
Notable Achievements:
- Awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross (June 24, 1941) after over 100 missions.
- Distinguished himself in the Balkans Campaign and the Battle of Crete.
- His unit:
- Sank 10 ships (36,000 GRT total)
- Damaged several British warships
- Naumann personally sank a 6,000 GRT transport in Suda Bay
