Named photo album/scrapbook to Dean W. PULSIPHER. He served in 2nd. Signals Bn., XIX Corps. Filled with interesting ephemera from his service – letters, patches, weapons qualification insignia, telegrams, original Eisenhower D-DAY letter (people ask crazy money for these, but at least worth $500 by itself), newspaper clippings, foreign cuerrency, unit printed Christmas cards (great XIX Corps piece), grat photos of him in the field posing with captured German flags, studio portrait photos, photo of crash landed ME 109, photo of him posing by a FW 109 Long Nose DORA, photo of the man with SNIPER RIFLE(!!), two photos of knocked out PANTHER TANKS, Photo of Bronze Star, medal ceremony, bring back certificates, destruction in Germany, USO shows, and more.
Newspaper clipping with transcript of his BRONZE STAR CITATION:
T-5 Dean W. Pulsipher, Signal Corps, 2nd Battalion, has been awarded the Bronze Star medal for meritorious service in Germany while under heavy enemy fire, it was learned here Wednesday.
The citation reads that while Pulsipher was a member of a wire construction team assigned to a mission of laying and maintaining communication between two posts in a flood warning system along the Roer River, he contributed greatly to the success of mission despite the hazard of continuous artillery fire.
