DAK AFRIKAKORPS PHOTO & DOCUMENT GROUPING – KIA 1942 IN ANKROMA
77 photos and documents belonging to a veteran of the AFRIKAKORPS. Named to Josef SCHNEIDER who was KIA on May 31, 1942 in NORTH AFRICA (ANKROMA). Sadly, he had two brothers who were also killed into war – one in the Wafer-SS – and there is a campsite death notice for all three of them. Comes with several other documents from his service including his SA Ausweis. His DAK photos are very nice showing troops in Africa wearing tropical uniforms many vehicle shots showing DAK unit emblems, graves, British destroyed planes, Italian troops, Arab kids wearing German insignia and saluting, DAK cemeteries, field bivouacs, POWs, ceremonies, and more.
