QQ. WWII Air Corps CATERPILLAR CLUB EVADER Grouping - 457th BomB Group
Super grouping named to Lt. Bartolo RIZZO. He was a navigator with the 749th Bomb Squadron, 457th BomB Group. Comed with his original wartime issue Caterpillar CLub certificat and original Caterpillar Club PIN. Also his Dog Tag, A-2 leather name tag, patches, unit DI, two sets of wings. man strike photos, his escape and evasion compass, saw and two maps in case, navigation instrument, binder with photos and research material and more. Also comes with copy of a book inw which another crewman records details of the mission they bailed out on. Their B-17 suffered catostrophic engine failure on Jan 10, 1945 - mission to Euskirchen, Germany. They were wound by the Belgian underground and eventually made it back to Allied lines.
