Extensive grouping to Harri RÄTZ. One of the larges FJ groupings I have offered, Comes with his original Luftwaffe FALLSCHIRMJAEGER BADGE (Assmann marked), his Fallschirmjaeger Badge Award Document, a wide assortment of other documents including Arbeitsbuch, Führerschein, NSFK FLUGBUCH with great photo of him in HJ uniform, SEGELFLUGZEUGFÜHRER Luftfahrerschein (GLIDER PILOT LICENSE, Reichskolonialbund ID, Deutsche Reichsbahn ID, rare NSFK GLEITFLIEGER AUSWEIS and smaller Segelflieger Ausweis, DAF Ausweis, Hitler Jugend Mitgliegs-Ausweis, postwar IDs, handwritten wartime details about service in Italy and Sicily, field orders when he was serving in the 1 Fallschirmjaeger Division, large NSFK documents, large HJ award document, several VERY nice plaques with FJ emblems, large presentation plate for MONTE CASSINO service embossed "Obergef Harri Raetz - 1. FJ Division, 7./ FJR," - super rare! THREE PHOTO ALBUMS - The first is all wartime content, great photos of FJs in FRANCE in 1942, photos of comrades funeral killed by "enemy agents" in Normandy, many good photos of FJ smocks and helmets in wear, identified officers, then photos of his service in the Russia, long typed account of his service in Russia (great!), then photos from FRANCE in 1943, FJ School in DREUX, then ITALY 1943-44, letter from his company commander saying he was missing during the Battle of CASSINO on May 18, 1944(!!) - at the very end (LAST DAY, LITERALLY) of the battle. A PLAQUE RECORDS THAT HE WAS ONE OF THE LAST THREE FJ'S TO LEAVE THE CASSINO ABBEY RUINS!!! The Second album is from his time in POW CAMP - he records he and five comrades tried in vain to break through allied lines and were captured by Indian troops, reads like a diary! POW Camp newsletters and maps and more! The third album is from his FJ reunions - also reads like a diary with great details. An amazing grouping!
