D.    U.S. Navy Photographic Squadron One, Three & Five (VD-5) Photo Album & Original Commemorative Unit Histories
Very nice  and large grouping to a Clyde Arthur FREEZE who served in U.S. Navy Photographic Squadron One and Five (VD-1 ; VD-5).  Comes with an original full size history of VD-5 - printed on full size photo paper sheets in their original box. Perhaps this was the original that was used to make printed copies from!  Comes with typed paper key.  Also comes with a similar printed photo history of Photographic Squadron Three - Photron Three. 
Also comes with a huge binder full of photos and documents related to the man's service. Great B-24 photos!

On March 1, 1943 redesignated Photographic Squadron One (VD-1). For administrative purposes, the squadron remained attached to Fleet Air Wing One. Sent overseas to the South Pacific (SOPAC) under Fleet Air Photographic Group One, Photographic Wing as part of Task Unit 33.14 (TU 33.14). The squadron operated specially equipped PB4Y-1 Liberators for photographic reconnaissance missions in the South Pacific (SoPAC).
